Discovery

About the Brand

SnackOn is a Nepalese food company making quick, healthy, guilt-free snacks for people with busy, active lifestyles

They wanted to tap into the protein bar market with packaging that would stand out while reflecting their brand values.

Meaning

What is the central idea?

And finally it hit me, the central idea is ‘energy’. Yup, sometimes we overlook even the things that are most obvious.

The design needed to radiate energy, movement, and boldness, aligning with SnackOn’s mission to fuel adventure, fitness, and personal growth.

Eye-dentity

Color representation

Each packaging takes its color from the moment you'd reach for it. PeanutButter Cranberry opens the day in warm morning sun. Chocolate Sea Salt hits midday, when the sky deepens into cool blue and the afternoon needs something to anchor it. Blueberry Muffin closes the day in the soft hues of evening.

At the center of each pack, a mountain. The sky changes. The goal doesn't.

Holistic

Visual flow and hierarchy

The brand name, 13g protein, and the art is made in a way that is prominently visible when viewed from a far. Following the AIDA model, the art work acts as a way to grab potential customer’s attention and the protein content generates the interest in the product.

When the packaging is viewed from afar, the viewer follows an F-scanning pattern, first on the brand name, then on 13g protein and finally on the flavor.

Afterwards, when pick it up, they will read the “No Added Preservatives, No Added Sugar”, “Made in Nepal” and the Supporting health and quality icons as they are strategically kept darker.

Rollout

Outcome and reflection

Designing food packaging is about balancing boldness for shelf impact with clarity and trust for the consumer. I am glad I am able to support SnackOn’s mission to promote healthy snacking, easy and appealing for people with busy and active lifestyles.

Seeing my work on supermarket shelves still gives me goosebumps tbh.
